The 4-Day rodeo and country fair is one of Western Canada’s most popular family events, and it returns May Long Weekend, May 17-20, 2019 for an action-packed weekend full of family fun!

One of North America’s longest running and most entertaining rodeos returns for its 73rd year this May Long Weekend with more competitions, live entertainment food and fun for fans of all ages.

Recognized as some of the best athletes in the world, national and international Cowboys and Cowgirls are getting ready to compete for large cash prizes. The Cloverdale Invitational Rodeo will feature four rough stock rodeo events: Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding, and Ladies Barrel Racing. Furthermore, Cloverdale’s youngest athletes will get their chance to compete when Mutton Bustin’ takes centre stage during all five Rodeo performances, happening all weekend long.

The Cloverdale Rodeo is proud to host 96 of the world’s best Cowboys and Cowgirls in a unique Invitational Rodeo format that ensures the sport’s premier athletes are showcased throughout five Rodeo performances. A total of 24 rodeo contestants will be competing in each of the events. The 2018 Cloverdale Invitational Rodeo Champions & 2018 Canadian Rodeo Champions have been invited.

The 131st Annual Country Fair features more family-friendly entertainment than ever before! Families are in store for a fun and exciting time at the 131st annual Cloverdale Country Fair, with Western Canada’s largest Midway of games and rides. Meet a variety of animals and watch a piglet race at the Agri Zone or head down to the Kids Zone where kids can learn how to be a Cowby or Cowgirl.

Little speedracers can drive through a construction themed race course with go-karts at the Douglas Lake Equipment Zone. Visitors of all ages can enjoy the West Coast Lumberjack show, meet BC country music artists at the BC Country Music Association Pavillion and eat the best ribs in town at Rib Fest.

The annual World Freestyle Round-Up Skateboard Championships will once again take place in the Cloverdale Curling Rink on the Cloverdale Fair Grounds. The competition will bring top pro and amateur freestyle skateboarders to compete for the $10,000 grand prize. The RoundUp will feature athletes from around the workd, including Japan, Australia and Germany and will showcase the best tricks and choreographed routines that are sure to leave spectators awestruck.

Sunday night at the world-famous Longhorn Saloon, Vancouver-based Juno award-winning band The Washboard Union will be headlining, with performances beginning at 9:30. And don’t forget- after the Friday night Rodeo performances, stay tuned for the Fireworks show, happening one night only on May 17, 2019! Rodeo Performance Schedule

The Cloverdale Rodeo is proud to host ninety-six (96) of the world’s best cowboys and cowgirls in an unique Invitational Rodeo Format that ensures the sports premier athletes are showcased throughout five (5) Rodeo performances.

For 2019, the Cloverdale Invitational Rodeo will feature Roughstock Rodeo Events (Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding) & Ladies Barrel Racing. Twenty-four (24) rodeo contestants compete in each of the rodeo events. The 2018 Cloverdale Invitational Rodeo Champions & 2018 Canadian Rodeo Champions are invited.
