Cascadia Wind Ensemble Society (Cascadia) is a concert band consisting of about 35 amateur musicians ranging in age from teens to more than 80.  They range from students to teachers to entrepreneurs to retired people.  Several of the musicians also play in the Fraser Valley Symphony and/or the Chilliwack Metropolitan Orchestra.  But they all have in common a love of playing high quality music performances containing all aspects of modern concert band music repertoire.

Cascadia represents the eastern part of the Lower Fraser Valley with musicians from Langley, Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Agassiz, and Maple Ridge.  Concerts have been played from Delta to Boston Bar, including Abbotsford, Mission, Maple Ridge, Chilliwack and Hope.

Concerts range from community events, such as Canada Day celebrations, to seniors home concerts to trade show concerts to ticketed formal concerts in theatres with guest artists, printed programmes, widespread promotion, etc.  Such formal concerts have included “Cascadia Remembers: Music and Stories from the War Years” on November 9, 2014 and “Showtime” on March 11, 2018.
