Details

The family friendly Canadian Festival of Chili and Barbecue comes to Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Langley, March 4th and 5th.

This festival traditionally boasts over $15,000 in cash and prizes! All at the lowest competition entry fees anywhere. This is made possible by the support of our amazing sponsors, certified judges, competition teams and volunteers.

The Canadian International CASI (Chili Appreciation Society International) Chili Championships, The Canadian SCA (Steak Cookoff Association) Steak Championships and the BC BBQ Championships are showcased in the oldest and largest competition of its kind in Canada and the Northwest.

Saturday will feature The Canadian International CASI Chili Championships and on Sunday The BC BBQ Championships. With two days of tasty fun for the whole family, this is the oldest and largest Chili and BBQ contest in Canada and the Pacific Northwest.

The principal goal of the registered Society is to raise funds for The BC Fire Fighters Burn Fund where they aim the donation towards the Young Burn Survivors Summer Camp.

Together with sponsors, volunteers, certified judges and thousands of visitors we have donated over $50,000 to the cause.

A donation to the Burn Fund will be collected at the entrance; $5 at minimum. This will entitle you to receive a sampling wristband and a bowl of Firehouse Chili on Saturday or a sampling wristband and a Pumper Pulled Pork sandwich on Sunday. The public can walk around the Festival and sample chili and BBQ prepared by teams – while supplies last. All money raised from wristband sales and portions of the team registration fees are donated to the BC Professional Fire Fighters Burn Fund.
