Meet Walnut.

This dashing two-year-old boy came from a hoarding situation and has received minimal socialization from a young age. Walnut has done amazingly well in his time at the shelter through patience, treats and behavioural modification. This sweet boy will need a patient guardian who is willing to give him time and space to become comfortable and also be willing to continue with his daily B-Mod sessions as this will help him to learn to trust and create a bond with his new family.

Due to Walnut’s lack of socialization, the shelter staff is asking that he go to a home that is relatively quiet, no small children, no dogs and a person/family that has a lot of time to spend with him, plus he needs to go to a home that currently has a cat friendly cat.  Walnut loves being around other cats and is very comfortable around them. Having Walnut around a well socialized house cat will help boost his confidence, as well he will learn proper cat behaviour with people.

Walnut is also very food motivated and is not afraid to approach for his favourite treat, as well he is very active and loves having lots of space as well as different toys to play with, as well as ledges and hiding spots to explore.
