Dean has definitely won the hearts of all the shelter staff.  At just a year-old Dean is a very sweet cat that loves lots of attention and is very appreciative of all that they do for him.

Dean is very active and loves having lots of spots to climb and lots of room to zoom around.  We have noticed that loud noises and people tend to scare Dean and he will run and hide if he feels uncomfortable.  He is also not a big fan of being outdoors and will require a home that will keep him indoors where he will be safe 24/7. The Chilliwack SPCA is looking for a relatively quiet home for Dean and unfortunately due to his fearfulness of all things loud, a home without small children would be the best for him.  They do not have background information on how he is with dogs, but from what they have seen from Dean,  he should do well with other cats as long as they are also cat friendly and mellow.  Dean is very healthy, has a great appetite and is getting his neuter today (Tuesday), he will be good to go to his new home as soon as tomorrow.

Dean did come in with a younger cat, about three months old and although the shelter staff hasn’t noticed signs of these two cats being bonded, they do spend time together.  If anyone is looking to adopt two cats just mention it on the application, or give them a call at 604-823-6612 and they’d be happy to talk to you about Dean’s little friend.

If you would like to meet Dean please fill out an application: Cat Adoption Application – Chilliwack | BC SPCA and of course if you have any questions don’t hesitate to call us.
