The Chilliwack Chiefs have acquired 20-year-old defenseman Mitch Andres from the Vernon Vipers in exchange for 18-year-old Will Dow-Kenny. In 41 games played Andres, who Chiefs Head Coach and General Manager Brian Maloney describes as a big bodied D-Man at 6’2, 205lbs has 1 goal, 14 assists for 15 points. “While it was difficult to let an asset like Will go, he’ll have more opportunity to play and develop in Vernon as they were looking to get younger” said Maloney. “With Mitch, we got the experienced D-Man we were looking for to help our younger group.”

The Chiefs would like to thank Will for his contribution to the Chiefs both on and off the ice and wish him the best of luck in Vernon.  Andres is expected to make his Chiefs debut this weekend.
