FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 11, 2018

On July 11, 2018 at approximately 0300am the Chilliwack Fire Department was dispatched to a
reported residential structure fire located in the 45000 block of Safflower Crescent.
Firefighters responded from Halls 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6, and on arrival, reported seeing heavy smoke
and flames venting from 2 single family homes, 2 garages, and 1 carriage home. Occupants were

spreading to adjacent properties.

interior and exterior of the structures, while 11 more structures suffered minor heat damage
due to radiant heat.
There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.
This fire is under investigation by the Chilliwack Fire Department and RCMP.
