Don’t be surprised if you hear some cheering this weekend from the Fraser Valley, as the forecast is calling for cooler temperatures and a chance of showers.
Our Meteorologist Russ Lacate says the prayers for rain have come a lot earlier than usual this year.

“Typically we don’t even get to the dog days of summer until late July or the middle of August.  But I think it would make everyone happy right now to have a change in the weather, and I think it’s coming.”

Lacate says temperatures will barely break 20 degrees this weekend, and the showers could continue deep into next week.

An Air Quality Advisory remains in effect for the valley today, and that includes particulate matter in the air, as well as ground level ozone.
