SD33The Chilliwack school district is apologizing for inappropriate materials distributed to students in the C.H.A.N.C.E Alternate School.

The school had invited a guest speaker from Sto:lo Nation Health Services to talk about healthy relationships.

The presentation was approved by the district, but some students were given a takeaway bag containing cards referencing graphic sexual acts.

The cards were reportedly from the AIDS Committee of Toronto and are meant to encourage people to perform acts safely, but were not approved by the district and were not meant for young teen students.

In a letter, the district says parents were contacted and asked to discard the materials and say it is working with partners to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
