moneynagsThe number of six figure earners among City of Abbotsford employees jumped from 114 two years ago to 140 last year.
That’s according to the City’s annual financial statements.
Top earners were city manager George Murray, deputy manager Jake Rudolph, and manager of engineering James Gordon, all of whom made over $200,000.

Earlier we had reported that city manager George Murray had received a 20% raise from 2013. That was incorrect.  In fact, Murray wasn’t employed by the city until February 2013, which accounts for the difference in year to year salary. He received NO raise in 2014. We apologize for the error.

In all, payroll for the high earners went up by nearly 5% and up over 2% overall, although according to a staff report part of that increase was due to overtime and from including auxiliary fire fighter earnings.
