knight road checkWhen Great Canadian Gaming bought Chilliwack Bingo a few years ago, part of the sale agreement was that if slot machine profits went over a certain level, it would give the Knight Road Legacy Association trailing payments.

This year the cheque is for over $291, 000, and Association president Gerry Wernicke says the money gives valuable support to 49 non profit groups.

“For some of the smaller groups it’s very vital. For example, the local music groups. They are on a very small budget and they really really appreciate getting this money.”

“The recipients range from service clubs like Kiwanis and Rotary to arts programs like the Chilliwack Academy of Music, and other non profits like Chilliwack Community Services.”
