City of Abbotsford logoOne of the main ideas to come out of the City of Abbotsford’s homelessness action plan was to hire a homelessness coordinator.

The City has now done that, announcing the appointment of Dena Kae Beno to the position.

Beno has been the affordable housing coordinator in Richmond for the last five years, and has more than two decades of experience in housing, construction, and community development.

Her new duties will include implementing recommendations from the homelessness task force, and liasing with various government and non profit agencies.
