Fraser Valley residents can get their kicks on route 66 starting April 6th.

That’s when the #66 Fraser Valley Express rolls out, running from Chilliwack to Langley.

Local politicians and representatives from BC Transit gathered at High Street, one of the stops on the route, to officially launch the service.

Chilliwack-Hope MLA Laurie Throness says this is a great service for people in Chilliwack who want to get around but maybe don’t have a car.

“There are families who want to be together, there are workers who want to commute, there are students who will be able to use the service. It really will be good for everybody, and it stops at convenient places in Chilliwack as well.”

The first day of service will be free, and then it will cost 5 dollars per trip.
