UFV_logoThe University of the Fraser Valley is seeking nominations for the Betty Urquhart Community Service award.

They’re looking for people who make everyday contributions to try to make the Fraser Valley a better place but who don’t always get recognition for their efforts.

Betty Urquhart was one of the first ever employees of the institution and the award honors her memory by recognizing people who make a commitment to lifelong learning or to their community.

Past winners include Veronica Back of Mission for her outreach work and Brittany Clough of Chilliwack for her work with teenage girls on self-esteem issues.

Deadline for nominations is March 27th.
