(Editorial Note: We said earlier that this was a memorial, when in fact, it is simply a get together for people who knew the boys and played hockey with them. We apologize to the families for any undue stress this may have caused)

A light skate has been planned for tonight (Tuesday) for the friends of three young men who died in a car crash near Hope last Friday morning.
20 year old Brad Webb of Hope, 19 year old Devan King-Peters of Chilliwack, and 18 year old Philip Morgan Peters Jr. of Hope were killed when their car went off the freeway and crashed into the Hunter Creek weigh scale. They were members of Hope Minor Hockey and Chilliwack Minor Hockey would like to offer the ice tonight to friends of the boys who would like to take part.
There will be a slide show and  ice skate at Prospera Centre at 7:30.
There is also a Facebook page set up where people can post pictures and memories of the three young men.

RCMP continue to investigate this tragic accident.

Press Release from Chilliwack Minor Hockey:

In honour of Morgan Peters, Brad Webb and Devan King

“There are many of us in shock today mourning the loss of one of our own in a tragic car crash.Morgan Peters from Chilliwack Minor Hockey along with his good friends Brad Webb and Devan King from Hope Minor Hockey were taken from us far too soon this past week.  All of us from Chilliwack Minor Hockey offer our condolences to the families of these 3 young men.

On Tuesday, March 17 from 7:30pm-9:00pm at Prospera Blue we invite all friends of these boys to join together in remembrance of their lives.  We are one big family, we will work through tragedy together, and if the kids want to play a big hockey game together as we have done before, just being together they can do that too, we will make sure there are rooms for them and their gear.  If you would like to play on the ice that night, please bring your equipment.  Of course you will have to be registered with Hockey BC in order to skate.”
