Shelter from the Storm is a month-long national fundraising and awareness campaign dedicated to ending violence against women.

Relay for life will be taking place in Chilliwack at 7pm May 30th to 7am May 31st at Chilliwack Senior Secondary, it will also be happening in Abbotsford 7pm June 20th to 7am June 21st at Rotary Stadium.
The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life is more than just a fundraiser. It is an opportunity to get together with family and friends and celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back against this disease. Walk with us in this inspirational 12 hour event as we come together to raise funds and make cancer history. Your participation makes a difference. What makes Relay For Life so special? At Relay For Life you will: Be inspired by cancer survivors, their loved ones and the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society, take turns walking, running or strolling around a track in a non-competitive relay, give 12 hours to the fight against cancer to help add years to the lives of others, relax and have fun off the track, enjoying activities and entertainment and learn about cancer and what you can do to reduce your risks.

Chilliwack & District Crime Stoppers is a non profit community based crime solving program working in conjunction with the media, the public and the RCMP to help make the Fraser Valley a safer place to live. The program encompasses Chilliwack, Agassiz, Hope & Boston Bar and has been operating since 1991.
Information about crime can be submitted with the assurance that no one will ever know who you are. Contact Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display/call tracing and people submitting tips are never asked to reveal their identity. Instead we provide a confidential code number that is used for all future communications. Chilliwack & District Crime Stoppers pays rewards for information that proves valuable to an investigation. The program has paid out more than $75,000 in rewards.

Visitors to the site can get information about the program, view our areas’ “Most Wanted” and “Unsolved Crime” pages and much more. Tips can be submitted anonymously via the website. In the next few months people will be able to submit tips via secure text-messaging.
