Mission Raceway Park and the Langley Loafers have some GREAT NEWS! If you are a fan of the Langley Loafers Old Time Drags! Our 2018 Drag race Season will include not one, but TWO Old Time Drag Races! The first one will be the “Langley Loafers Ashcroft Reunion” on June 1st – 3rd, 2018. The second race will be on August 3rd – 5th, 2018. Both races will have a Friday Test & Tune giving you three days of action packed fun at each event! We hope everyone is as excited as we are about the news …follow us and Mission Raceway for more exciting announcements and updates for these events!

This just in……Rocky Mountain Nostalgia Funny Cars will be at the June 1st to 3rd, 2018 Loafers event at Mission

Classes are determined by Year of Body Style, Type of “tree” run under, and in some instances by E.T.

Race Gates Times for both events:
Thursday, May 31 & August 2, 2018 – open 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.(parking only)
Friday, June 1 & August 3, 2018 – open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.(parking only)
Saturday, June 2 & August 4, 2018 – open from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Sunday, June 3 & August 5, 2018 – open from 7 a.m. until close

Spectator Gate Times:
Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. until close

Tech:
Open Friday, June 1, 2018 & August 3, 2018 – noon to 10 p.m.

Test and Tune:

Friday, June 1 & August 3 – time TBA

Race fees: Car (1972) and earlier and Driver – $130 (Sat. & Sun. only)

Camping $20 for the weekend (no reservations required)

Spectator admission: $20 per day, $35 weekend

Saturday June 2 & 3, 2018 & August 4 & 5, 2018- 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

1 day pass includes car, driver and one additional adult passenger – $30

NOSTALGIA GAS:	Body styles to 1972 – (“Straight Axle”) – configured to Association’s Rules, while complying with track safety requirements. THE GASSER GET-DOWN The Gassers are back!Announcing the return of the straight axles to Mission for the Loafers Old Time DragsThe class formerly run as the Straight Axle Shootout will run as Nostalgia GasCelebrating drag racing’s glory days of the 60’s to 70’s, this is a class designed for vehicles built in the nose-high style of these classic quarter milers and faithful to the spirit of the original gassers, AWB and M/P cars of this era. Qualifying will be heads up, eliminations will be run on a dial in with pairings based on reaction times. Class specs are being kept as loose as possible with the main goal being to put together a field of true “way back machines” that will provide good racing for the drivers and put on a great show for the spectators. – body styles are limited to doorcars – NO electronics that control et’s – transbrakes and two step rev limiters OK – vehicles must be running a straight axle – exceptions made for era correct A arm suspension – vehicles must meet NHRA safety requirements relevant to their ET’s. VEHICLES MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE CLASS DIRECTOR EITHER IN ADVANCE OR ON RACE DAY TO RACE IN THIS CLASS!!! – registration will be $20 and includes a class t-shirt – contact Steve at galoreracing@gmail.com for pre registration, info and updates – race day registration also OK

STREET MACHINE:	3 Classes as follows: Street Machine A: Body styles up to 1972; 5/10 PRO Tree; ELECTRONICS ALLOWED Street Machine B: Body styles 1965 – 1972; 11:49 ET and quickerFull tree (“B” cars must meet stricter Tech Requirements occurring at this ET break); ELECTRONICS NOT ALLOWED Street Machine C: Body styles 1965 – 1972; 11:50 and slower; Full tree; ELECTRONICS NOT ALLOWED
OUTLAW:	2 Classes as follows: Outlaw E: 9.99 and quicker; Body styles to 1972 plus front engined dragsters, altereds, etc; ELECTRONICS ALLOWED; SPORTSMAN 4/10 PRO TREE Outlaw N: 9.99 and quicker; Body styles to 1972; NO ELECTRONICS ALLOWED; SPORTSMAN TREE Minimum 8 car field required: – Subject to Management’s discretion. Track Teck Inspector will determine compliance with class requirements as to Year of car, as well as mechanical and safety standards for all classes.
