Auguston Traditional Elementary School presents Canada's Most Loved Children's Author Robert Munsch at the Abbey Arts Centre for 2 shows on October 16th.  Show times are 1:30pm & 3:30pm.  Tickets are $20 each with book sales and signing to follow each show with profits going to Auguston Traditional's PAC to raise money for a playgound expansion.

Fundraising efforts are being made in support of the Sarah Wilson Trust Fund.  Sarah Wilson is the mother of Clare Shelswell, the five year old Abbotsford girl who was killed in Washington State.  This violent death has shaken up everyone and a trust fund has been set up to help Sarah and her other daughter.

The annual Chilliwack Community Sport Hero Awards, hosted by the Chilliwack Spirit of BC Committee, recognizes long-standing volunteers that have contributed countless hours to the development and delivery of sport in Chilliwack.   The award ceremony is held every May, and recognizes and thanks community sport volunteers for their dedication and leadership.  Go here for this year's winners.
