MARTINI MINGLE RULES
1. (a) To enter starting at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, April 14th, 2008 go to www.starfm.com, sign up for the Star Status Club, log in and go to the surveys page. Submit your martini recipe and earn 100 points before 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 27th, 2008 the Contest Closing Date. In order to receive 100 points a complete recipe must be included with ingredients, martini name, entrant's name and entrant's contact information. All completed recipe entries will be taken into consideration for the Martini Mingle contest.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter this Contest without earning 100 points through the Star Status Club survey page, during the Contest Period, please hand print your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, email address, age, Contest name for which you are entering for a chance to win, and a letter containing your martini recipes, including your ingredients, recipe name, your name, phone number and email address,and mail it to #309-46167 Yale Road, Chilliwack BC, V2P 2P2. You will receive one (1) entry into the Contest during the entry period for each of your martini recipes which your request was postmarked and received. Limit of one (1) mail-in request per postage stamped envelope per day. You may also email your martini recipes to desiree.whitlock@rci.rogers.com and please include your ingredients, recipe name, your name, phone number and email address.
• (b) A panel of judges, including a Rogers Broadcasting Limited ("Rogers") representative, will test all recipes received as of the Contest Closing Date and five finalists will be contacted on Friday, May 2nd, 2008, before 9:00 a.m. at Star 98.3. Selected finalists will be contacted via telephone number or email as indicated on the selected entrant’s member account or the mail-in entry. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 at 9:00PM live at Martini Mingle at Earls in Chilliwack.
(e) You may enter as many recipes as you like in one survey answer. If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).
2. No purchase, expenditure or investment is necessary to enter this Contest.
3. Participants will be eligible to win the Grand Prize valued at approximately $1000.00 which consists of twelve (12) dinners at Earls Chilliwack – One (1) dinner per month for a year and their winning martini recipe will be on Earls Chilliwack’s menu for one (1) year.
Star 98.3 is not responsible for any cancellation of any of the events, and that part of the prize will be forfeited, and no substitutions will be given. All prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred or exchanged.
Rogers reserves the right to substitute a prize of at least equal value in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prize. Prizes will be available for pick-up at Star 98.3 #309-46167 Yale Road in Chilliwack for twelve (12) days from the date they are awarded/available for pick-up or until the event lapses should the prize be time sensitive. After twelve (12) days time all prizes not claimed will be donated to charity. Star 98.3 will not notify winners of the time remaining on their prize. It is the responsibility of the winner to claim the prize within the twelve (12) day timeframe. Upon pick-up of prize, valid picture identification (i.e. driver's license OR passport) from the winner is required.
5. In order to win, selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited, mathematical skill testing question. Rogers judges' rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the Contest and the awarding of prizes.
6. Selected entrant will be required to return a signed release and acknowledgment form before being declared a winner.
7. By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the use of his/her entry, name, city of residence and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by Rogers and/or its advertising agencies, without further compensation. Winner consent to their photograph being taken by Rogers for such use, without further compensation. All entries become the property of Rogers.
8. This Contest is open to residents of British Columbia 19 years of age and over as of the date of entry except employees of Rogers, its parent and affiliate companies; its representatives and agents, the Contest suppliers, and those with whom they are domiciled. The Contest is subject to all applicable provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
9. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrant. To receive a copy of the Contest rules or for the name of the winner, send a postage paid, self-addressed envelope to #309 46167 Yale Road, Chilliwack, BC, V2P 2P2 ATT: Martini Mingle after the Contest Closing Date.
10. Chances of winning depend on the number of entries. Rogers is unaware of how many entrants there may be. The winner may come from any geographic area, so long as they otherwise qualify to enter the Contest.
11. All entries which are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by Rogers. Rogers takes no responsibility for lost, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors.
12. All entries become property of Rogers who assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for failure of the Internet or Rogers network during the Contest period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, cell sites, microwave dish, antenna, switch, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any communication or traffic congestion on the Rogers or other network, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's wireless device or personal computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading or sending any material in the Contest. Rogers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the online or email portion of this Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Rogers corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any equipment or system or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Rogers reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

15. The terms of this Contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
