There’s a Christmas concert happening this Thursday at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre featuring the award winning vocal group, Tenore. But what makes it extra special is that part of the proceeds from this show are going to the family of a little Abbotsford girl, who is fighting for her life. 6 yr old Greta Loewen was diagnosed last year with Ewing’s Sarcoma, an extremely rare form of bone cancer. Her mom Heather says, as many people who have dealt with cancer will know, the journey has ups and downs.

“The last week or two she’s been doing better again.  At the beginning of November, we had some pretty big concerns…we were in Toronto for treatment and she had stopped walking and just wasn’t doing very well.”

They’ve been travelling all over, from Vancouver, to Boston, to Toronto seeking treatments. She says if they can buy Greta 1 or 2 more years, maybe they can find a cure or an alternative treatment.  Heather says the organizers of the concert contacted her about a month ago…she’s extremely grateful that people are willing to step up to help, as all the travelling and time off work takes a huge toll on a family.

Tickets for the Tenore concert on Thursday are $26 online, or $32 at the door….so you can catch a great show, for a great cause.
