(680 News) Calgary police have nabbed the man who took the plot line to the Disney animated movie Up to new heights.

The man was spotted early Sunday evening floating above the Calgary Stampede grounds in a lawn chair suspended by dozens of helium-filled balloons.

On Monday morning, police charged Daniel Boria in the event dubbed the “Stampede Stunt” by social media with mischief causing danger to life and mischief to property under $5,000.

“We were doing advertising,” Boria told the Calgary Sun.. “It was the most fun thing I’ve ever done.”

Boria said he used a $20 lawn chair from Canadian Tire as his cockpit and helium-filled balloons he’d purchased online.

“The first couple of thousand feet were pretty scary,” he told the Sun. “I didn’t know if it would hold up.”

Boria jumped from the contraption and parachuted safely to the ground just beyond the Stampede grounds.

“I’m glad he didn’t die,” said business associate Derek Mohajer.
