abbotsfordcamp2It was two years ago that the City of Abbotsford made headlines across the globe when workers dumped chicken manure on a homeless camp on Gladys avenue.
Thursday afternoon a group of two dozen protestors marched down Gladys protesting the ongoing homelessness problems in the city.
Since the manure incident, a lawsuit has been launched on behalf of some of the homeless saying that a bylaw preventing people from camping overnight in parks is against their right to shelter.
In the meantime, the City has formed a homelessness action plan and has approved a proposal for a supportive housing facility.
