Photo_MERRICKA convicted murderer who escaped from Mission Institution in late March is a suspect in a number of lower mainland robberies.

Shawn Merrick is wanted nation wide after escaping from minimum security prison where he was serving a sentence for second degree murder.

RCMP believe he may have been involved in a pair of robberies in Surrey on April 17th, as well as recent robberies in the Langley area.

Merrick is 5 foot 8, 141 pounds, with fair complexion, blue eyes, and brown hair.

He has scars on his right arm and neck, and has a tattoo of skulls on his left arm, a dragon on his right arm, a heart with the name “Jade” on his back, and a skull on his chest.
