He has been named the man with the perfect face, he has won two Oscara and has been in dozens of movies.

But this one shocked me a little bit. In a 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair Poll, Denzel Washington was named as the person Americans would pick to play Jesus. And it wasn’t even close!

Denzel walked away with 21 percent of the vote, seven points higher than Daniel Day-Lewis, who is the actor of choice when it comes to portraying god-like historical figures.

The top 6 was:

#1. Denzel Washington – 21%

#2. Daniel Day Lewis – 14%

#3. Al Pacino – 13%

#4. Ryan Gosling – 11%

#5. Woody Allen – 10%

#6. Phillip Seymore Hoffman – 3%
